Paper Doll Quilt

This quilt was done by Brenda Shade. She sells these patterns and also kits. Kreations by Karen. I quilted this quilt for her. The little dresses are all so cute. The detail is exquisite. She does all her own smocking and the embroidery is beautiful. She gives lessons on making this quilt. She has over 50 patterns. Check out her web site www.kreationsbykaron.com This was a custom quilt and I enjoyed quilting it. Lots of work, but fun to do. I have since quilted a 2nd doll quilt for her. Photos to follow.

Not to be out done

After Hannah made her quilt, mommy decided she needed to make a quilt also. My sister in law Stacie made a turning 20 quilt from a stack of 20 Fat Quarters she found at the shop. She fell in love with these colors, I think it was from Moda and called Sunshine. Here she is learning to use a rotary cutter. For her first quilt, she still great. Much better than me. My first quilt top did not even come close to the size the pattern said it was to be. Stacie's was right on. She did great. My Mom went to visit a few months later and she took the quilted quilt to her. She then showed Stacie how to do the binding. Mom also gave Stacie her old sewing machine and I sent a mat, ruler and a cutter to her. Want to make sure she keeps quiltng.

First Quilt

My niece Hannah with her Nana. This is the first quilt she had ever made. It was made from a package of charm packs that Nana had. Hannah and her family were visiting from California. I quilted this for her and she took it home completed. I thought I had a photo of it quilted but i can not find it. Hannah was very proud of herself. She did a great job.

My family in true fashion! Lucky Aunt Boopie missed this fun. We have in order:
Bill Jackson
Claudia Albertoni
Lemuel Robbins
Janie Dunsmoor
Leila Robbins
Deedie Clayton
Missing: Betty Buchanan

Family Reunion Quilt

This is the quilt my Mom and I made for the Warnick Family Reunion in 2007 I think. We held the reunion at my cousin Cindy's home, in Aledo, Texas. You can see the winner, my cousin Joey Jackson. My mom, Janie Robbins Dunsmoor pieced the quilt and I quilted it.

Fabulous Friday

It is fabulous that we have no ice today. These photos are from January 9th-ish I think. We had a cold spell that week. When we got up it was 8 degrees with a high of 24 degrees for a couple of days. I tried to get Dan to stand on the water, but he told me NO! I don't know why! HAHA The ice was about 3 or 4 inches thick.

I am off to Abilene, Texas, Eastern Star function. It is the last school of the year. A group of 5 of us are driving. We'll be back Saturday and I will then watch Masyn Saturday night!

Keep your Friday Fabulous!
