Fabulous Friday

It is fabulous that we have no ice today. These photos are from January 9th-ish I think. We had a cold spell that week. When we got up it was 8 degrees with a high of 24 degrees for a couple of days. I tried to get Dan to stand on the water, but he told me NO! I don't know why! HAHA The ice was about 3 or 4 inches thick.

I am off to Abilene, Texas, Eastern Star function. It is the last school of the year. A group of 5 of us are driving. We'll be back Saturday and I will then watch Masyn Saturday night!

Keep your Friday Fabulous!

This is the another photo of the pool. It was pretty thick ice.

This one has a touch of Blue Bonnets in it.

This was taken in a field some where between Granbury and Temple, going the back way to see Aunt Becky. Aren't the wild flowers so beautiful?

This is another quilt I quilted. Just passing along some of my work.

My crazy son and his wife on their little Honda. Bike barely holds one, let alone 2.

This is a quilt my Mom made for my brother Red. It is one of the first quilts I ever quilted, 3 years ago. She made a Rail Fence quilt out of American fabrics. I quilted it with stars and loops.

This is my other brother Darryl waiting for us to tell him what a great job he did. HAHA!

This is my other brother Darryl ordering 2 of my sisters around. He built this fence for our Mom to hold her doggies. Ask Kim and she will tell you she did all the work.

This is the Queen of the Ranch fabric line. I fussy cut the panel to make it fit into the big block, the pattern I used was the "Take 5". A friend of mine comes into the quilt store all the time with her grand daughter. She has made her a quilt already, but the girl wants a western quilt. Grandma said maybe someday. The family are missionaries and headed to Africa. I made this quilt with the help of my mother. The Saturday before they left, I had my friend bring her to the store. Judy knew nothing of what I was doing, just thought we wanted to tell her bye, we did, by presenting Bridget with the quilt.

This is the front and back of the Western Quilt.

The customer picked the design and thread color for this quilt.

This is another quilt I quilted for a customer at Christmas time. A cute version of the Sunbonnet Sue.

This is a 4 generation photo with my Dad. We are all the oldest child. Charlie, Donna, Nick and Masyn.

This is a 4 generation photo with my Mom. Janie, Donna, Nick and Masyn.

My grand daughter Masyn in December. She so cute!

Another house photo.

This is one picture of the border.

Here are some photos of a house quilt I have quilted. This was my second one to quilt. There is a lady named Judy who is almost done with her quilt and wants me to quilt it. The quilt is hand appliqued. It is from the book "Home Sweet Home"

Here is the 2nd picture of the Flower Quilt. It is a huge quilt. I enjoyed quilting it later, not at first. Customs are always a challenge. This got me out of my box.

I'm Back!

Well it has been a while since I was here. I was so busy quilting quilts for people for Christmas, I barely had time to eat, and I love to eat! I had a great Christmas. I am going to attempt to put up a few photos of quilts that I have quilted for people. These 2 photos are of a quilt I did for a lady that works at the store, Trish. She usually quilts her own quilts, but this one was to big for her machine. We have this as a block of the month in our store.
